Thanks to my friends at MacKenzie-Childs for providing product for this post!
My favorite time of year has finally arrived and I couldn't be more excited to be guest featured in the Seasons of Home tour this year for Christmas tablescapes. I hope you have time to check out the entire tour because the inspiration is endless!
Today, I wanted to take you along on what Christmas morning might look like at our house (sans torn wrapping paper scattered about and messy bed head!). Christmas breakfast is something our little family looks forward to every holiday season. I love seeing the kids wake up in their Christmas jammies and glow with excitement to see what Santa brought them. We typically wake up and open stockings first and then eat a light and easy (and oh so sweet) breakfast!
Christmas morning always seems like a jam-packed time to get presents open, get the kids dressed for later events, get the house picked up and so on. I try to simplify my life by having an easy but kid-pleasing item on hand like bakery doughnuts or Pillsbury cinnamon rolls.
Having an easy breakfast that is ready in minutes means I can dress up the table the night before and have a festive and fun breakfast ready for when the kids wake up extra early on Christmas morning. Our MacKenzie-Childs Evergreen pieces really dress up our Courtly Check collection perfectly for the holidays.

To make this super easy tablescape, we covered our coffee table with a tablecloth for easy cleanup and ran a Target dollar-spot runner for some color. For a little extra sparkle, I use one single Festivity Beaded Placemat under my pedestal. We used some of our collected Courtly Check pieces mixed in with some whimsical entertainment for the kids like the Courtly Check Truck, the Moose on Parade snow globe, and the Highland Nutcracker! The kids found so much joy in eating their favorite doughnuts and giggling over playing with the classic toys.

Adding small touches like the strung popcorn and the Highland mini bottle brush trees just keeps the magic going throughout this tablescape. If you want to dress up your store-bought treats, consider adding some fresh rosemary stems to your dish!
This tablescape was so fun to make (and enjoy)! Whenever I can get the kids involved, it just makes it extra special for me and I think that is what the holidays are all about. Soaking in these magical little moments with the people I love the most and making little whimsical memories for them have forever.
Thank you so much for visiting what has to be one of my most favorite posts of 2017. I am so glad you are here! There's more to come and make sure you check out the rest of the tour today!
