Why You Should Consider a Custom Home
Hey friends! I am sharing something totally new and fun with you today! I recently visited an open house at the new gated community of Avalon Heights in our town of Sedro Woolley, WA. It blew me away - and I wasn't the only one. When I shared the home and the views on my stories on Instagram, I heard from countless followers that they were pretty crazy about it too! I loved hearing from you guys and if you were one of the many that messaged me - I am so happy to share my snaps from that visit with you on my blog! The custom features of the home and the endless views that seemed to go on on and on for miles just gave us all the heart eyes. So today I am sharing some snaps I took of the house and why I think you should consider buying a custom home.
First lets talk about location! This home, built by Allen Campbell, is located in the heart of Skagit Valley - one of the most beautiful and charming areas of the Pacific Northwest. I feel so lucky I get to live here and see these gorgeous mountains everyday and watch the bald eagles soar by my window and visit the rivers and beaches close by. This area has a country small town feel with big heart and this gorgeous custom home is located right in the heart of it with views of the valley from every direction.
From the moment you step through the entry into this 4,145 square feet craftsman style home, you see the large windows with unobstructed views of the valley that flank the living room and kitchen.
The heart of the home is this grand living room and kitchen area. Guests will want to linger for hours right here but there is plenty more to see in this gorgeous one-of-kind house.
The attention to detail around every corner really impressed me. The care that went into finding the most perfect wood for the unique wood features across the home, the lighting placed around the crown molding and under cabinets, the individual stone wall feature, and the countless other custom details make this home stand out above others homes I've seen in this price range. There aren't many homes in this market as beautiful or as big as this one under 900K.
And for my favorite part of the home, the master suite!! Let me share some snaps with you as the photos will do all the talking!
The master suite was by far my most favorite part of the house. The abundant amount of space and serene design details made me want to move right in. The suite has its own foyer - a perfect place for his and her chairs and a table for enjoying your morning coffee in your robe. The spa like bathroom is separated by beautiful custom sliding barn doors and the deck has a beautiful fireplace with privacy for the perfect summer nights. I got the most feedback on Instagram about the closet. And yes, it was truly amazing. HUGE! Plenty of space for an accessory wardrobe, an ottoman, washer dryer hook up and lots of room for storage. It was a dream! Plus, natural light which is basically unheard of in a closet like this!
The last area I want to feature with you today is the beautiful kitchen. I mean, just look at that range!! I loved the subway tiles on the backsplash and the cabinetry that wrapped around the breakfast nook. There was plenty of space for storage, counter space for cooking and beautiful appliances that will make your everyday cooking that much more enjoyable!

I can't tell you enough how beautiful this home is without you seeing it for yourself. You know when you walk into a home and you just feel..well, at home?! This house gives you that feeling and you can't put a price on that feeling.

Allen, the builder behind this amazing home, is currently working on his next project in Avalon Heights - a stunning rambler with east, south and west facing views. It's going to be a stunner and he even showed me the 12 foot water feature he's building in the foyer. WOW!
