How to Dress Up a Halloween Table
Boo! Yup, I love Halloween! I actually don't enjoy the gore and the scare of it but I love candy and chocolate so I feel like my association with this holiday is purely based on that! But nonetheless, it's always fun to play around with a little Halloween decor and enjoy it!
I wanted to create a simple and affordable way to dress up a table for a fun Halloween dinner party! Nothing too scary and and nothing too over the top so you can easily re-create this look at home! I started off with my gold sequin overlay and used it as a runner through the middle. For a centerpiece, I placed my black willow branches with orange LED lights that I picked up from World Market last year.
If you missed my Halloween porch I created in partnership with World Market last year, you don't want to miss it!
If you saw my porch, you will recognize the ravens and the skeletons! I think a bird theme is just spooky enough without being gross or gory! But by all means, definitely spooky!
For a little haunted house glam, I chose to use mercury glass candleholders to add a little shine to the table. I added my own crystals for a vintage feel. I love using flameless LED candles to ensure we don't lose our flame at the table.
I wanted to use a black and white theme for this look so I used these striped placemats from Ikea. They are just a few dollars for a set and come in handy with all the kids running in and out of here!
I grabbed my old black and white damask dishes from Target for this look and my good ole go-to dishes- the white baroque dishes from World Market (I use them for everything if you haven't noticed).
The napkin rings are black chalkboard rings from Shady Oaks Farm and you can personalize them as you wish!
Every single item I used for this table were items I already owned. I think it's perfectly fine to recycle what you have and get creative with mixing and matching.
To add to the bird theme, I brought in my very scary vulture. I think he belongs outside. Or maybe just in a box in the garage - he's awfully frightening!
So that is lights out on this blog post and Halloween Dinner party! Hope you enjoyed it! You can find most of my sources linked below in my Shop the Post section.

Funny note: While making my post for today, I noticed I forgot to layout my flatware! Oops! I guess my guests will be eating candy for dinner. Oh darn ;)
