Little girl bedroom makeover: The details
Happy Monday! I am sharing all the lovely little details of my daughter's bedroom makeover and where you can snag the same items! When you design a space, it can be all about the details. Little pieces to really make the space extra special. I chose items that were truly reflective of who my daughter is to create a space she would love to retreat in!
First, let's chat about this b e a u t i f u l teepee!
This amazingly girly teepee is from the lovely and talented designer, Danielle, at SugarShacksTeepee on Etsy. There are so many companies out there selling teepees but none like the frilly and beautiful ones you will find in her Etsy shop. Besides how adorable it is, it is a very special spot in our house for quality time with our girl. We love to read in here, play hide and go seek in here, and I've even dozed off in here (against my daughters wishes)!
You can also find Danielle on Instagram HERE.
The topper is actually something I threw together but Danielle over at SugarShacksTeepee has some incredible teepee toppers and signs you can purchase to add on to your teepee. She even has some awesome "Boys Only" toppers for the boy moms out there!
The adorable "dream big little one" pillow is from ParrisChicBoutique and she has a ton more sweet sayings and customizable options in her Etsy shop.
The pink ruffly pillow is part of the Vintage Blush Pillow Set from Beddy's from the previous post!
The white rug is from Safavieh and was purchased at Marshalls.
Next, I'm sure you want to hear about those giant anemones on the wall!
These beautiful hand-crafted flowers are from Flower Voyage Boutique on Etsy. They were a custom order because anemones are my favorite. The black and white contrast makes the wall display really pop. They are huge! They are bold! And they are beautiful!! I'm so glad I ordered from Flower Voyage vs. making my own because I would have never been able to create something as beautiful as these! These would be awesome as part of a photography display, a wedding display, really anything where you want to make a big statement!
You can find Flower Voyage on Instagram HERE.
Next, lets go over the fun little gallery wall created on the opposite side. This is where my daughter says she will be "getting ready allll day!"
The gold polka-dot decals and the gold sequin hanger is from Fancy It Pretty on Etsy. Talk about girly!! The decals are easily removed and you can get creative with your design. That hanger makes the whole wall special and is my daughter's favorite thing about it!
You can find Fancy It Pretty on Instagram HERE.
The circle mirror, the pink/gold hooks, the "good morning gorgeous" sign, and the white shelf are all from Hobby Lobby.
The black and white striped hook is from Anthropologie and the hanging gold headband is from H&M.
The signs atop the shelf and the little piggy bank on the side table are from a local boutique shop in Snohomish, Wa called Hoity Toity.
I had some trouble finding the right side tables for this room. I couldn't have anything that would interfere with opening the toy drawers under the bed and wanted something curvy in shape to go against the angular features of the bed. The side tables are from HomeGoods and painted in Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint.
The lamps are from Lamps Plus from 2009.
The silk orchids and metal vases are from Ikea as well as the tulle drapes.
Another great Ikea find was this kids chandelier. It was a much needed replacement from our old outdated brass lighting.
Ikea is a great go to place for your last minute additions to the room without going over the budget. Even though I always end up spending more than I planned!
Don't forget you can get 15% off your entire purchase (including accessories) right now at Beddy's until the end of August 2015 when you use code houseoffive15.
I hope I didn't leave out any details for you. If so, let me know in the comments! Feel free to pin this post on Pinterest or share with friends!
Until next time! Take care!
